Describe a magazine you enjoy reading.
Talking about a magazine, I’d like introduce perhaps the trendiest one in mainland China. It is called Cityzine. Its headquaters is in Guangzhou City, a very modern place with mixed cultures. But this magaine is nothing like an exclusive local taboid; on the countrary, its content is more extensive than any other fashion or travel magazine, and its illustrations no less exquisite than the photography albums I have seen.
Hip, cool and somewhat artistic, Cityzine has been the most sought-after reading material among young adults in their leisure time. The price is a little high for me, but I don’t think it’s problem for I always get to buy some back numbers and exchange them with my friends. Usually, I quite enjoy a lazy Saturday afternoon with a copy of Cityzine and a large iced tea.
So, what’s special about it? First, I think it’s the dynamic layout. Every issue has got a theme color to go with its cover and fonts. And illustrations are no longer an addition to the articles, instead, brief remarks are the definitions of a photograph. Then, it is not only a superficial magazine that recommends the latest digital products, novels, movies or delicacy. In fact, it tries to suggest many positive concepts and call upon people to adopt healthy lifestyles. Finally and personally, Cityzine would not be so attractive to me with its comic supplement. Works by domestic and international artists are presented, some of them are very interesting to know.
I began to read Cytizine when I was a freshman, but I don’t think I will lose my interest in it as I grow old. Actually, a youthful magazine always keeps its readers young. (以上圖片來(lái)自網(wǎng)絡(luò))
