adopted 和 adoptive 詞根都是 adopt，它的其中一個(gè)意思為“領(lǐng)養(yǎng)”，那么 adopted 和 adoptive 作形容詞時(shí)有什么區(qū)別呢？


一、adopted 作形容詞

1、意為“領(lǐng)養(yǎng)的，收養(yǎng)的”，它用來(lái)表示某人被領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了，例如：

They've got two adopted children and one of their own.
他們有兩個(gè)領(lǐng)養(yǎng)的孩子和一個(gè)他們自己的孩子。

They had two adopted children already.
他們已經(jīng)領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了兩個(gè)孩子。

As his adopted brothers in the war against evil, the two of them were his equals.

2、意為“移居的”，通常指國(guó)家，例如：

二、adoptive 作形容詞

1、意為“收養(yǎng)的，有收養(yǎng)關(guān)系的”，它用來(lái)表示某人領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了某人，例如：

Her adoptive parents were farmers.
她的養(yǎng)父母是農(nóng)民。

My adoptive parents truly loved me with all their heart.
我的養(yǎng)父母真心愛我。

It must be quite a story, since my adoptive parents refuse to admit that I was adopted.

2、意為“移居的”，通常指國(guó)家，例如：

三、兩者的區(qū)別

adopted 是指某人被領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了，而 adoptive 剛好反過來(lái)，是某人領(lǐng)養(yǎng)了某人，在表示移居的國(guó)家時(shí)，它們通?？梢曰Q，但是 adopted 更常用。
